Common questions
- How do I install asambl?
- Once you have beta access, you will receive a download link by email. asambl is a desktop app for macOS and Windows. Install it like any other app and the setup wizard will walk you through getting started.
- Where is my data stored?
- Everything is stored on your computer as plain Markdown files. asambl does not upload your data to our servers. When AI is on, only your question for that request goes to asambl’s managed AI (hosted on Azure OpenAI), and it isn’t stored long-term.
- Can I use asambl without AI?
- Yes. AI features are optional and can be switched off at any time. The weekly planner, habit tracking, and all core features work without AI.
- How do I report a bug or request a feature?
- Email us at support@asambl.app with a description of what happened (or what you would like to see). Screenshots and steps to reproduce are always helpful.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Not yet. asambl is desktop-only during the beta. A mobile companion is on the roadmap but there is no confirmed timeline.
